Alisdair is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant who began his accountancy career in 1980 with a City Centre public practice before moving to a smaller local firm in Sutton Coldfield 6 years later. He gained valuable all round experience in a wide variety of accountancy, auditing and taxation matters relating to the small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as learning essential management skills. He progressed to Associate Partner status before taking the plunge and setting up Phoenix Business Associates Limited with his fellow associate and like-minded colleague David Hill.

David Hill, FCCA

David is also a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant who worked for over 9 years with medium-sized Chartered Accountants, Moores Rowland, in Walsall. He gained a good grounding in all types of businesses and, in particular, the technical side of large company audits and pension scheme accounting. He left Moores Rowland in 1993 and moved to a smaller local firm in Sutton Coldfield, where he was able to concentrate more on the small and medium-sized owner managed businesses. David believes that his initial professional training, combined with some 20 years experience, stand him in good stead to deal with a multitude of scenarios to the benefit of his clients.

• Phoenix Business Associates Limited was borne out of Alisdair and David’s desire to offer clients’ a high quality, plain talking, pro-active, friendly and efficient service, tailored to individual client‘s exact needs.
• Alisdair and David want to dispel the old cliché of the accountant being nothing more than a traditional bean-counter!
